tw / death, miscarriage ..in the late spring of 1960, adorabella eurydice selwyn was born on may 18th in wales, united kingdom. she was the second born daughter of the selwyns, following belladonna. when dora was around the age of one, the twins were born. all in all, dora ended up being the middle offspring of three daughters and a son.growing up was like a dream: wealthy, respected, and well known in the wizarding community. although, not everything was perfect all of the time. dora's brother, commonly known as selwyn, became loyal to the dark lord voldemort. even though dora was raised like a typical pure-blood wizard, she felt as though something was not right. she felt that all wizards and witches should have been treated equally. but, of course, her family could never know of her beliefs.when she was at the age of three years old, she was diagnosed with a rare blood malediction that is passed down from mother to daughter in certain generations. it is unknown if dora's mother had the same malediction, but dora eventually passes it down to her daughter, astoria greengrass. each year, dora becomes sicker and sicker, eventually leading to a doomed fate.at the age of eleven once she got her hogwarts letter, dora was frightened to begin her training at school. she was prone to weakness and her immune system was not like the other students her age. she was never going to be able to play quidditch or participate on the dueling teams and clubs. she had to find a passion elsewhere.dora's younger sister, iris carrow née selwyn, is a seer. dora always found seers fascinating and decided at a young age that she wanted to pursue the study of auras.sometime within her hogwarts years, dora met and fell in love with florian greengrass. of course, their relationship was not all peaches and roses. they had their fair share of teen angst, late night fights, and even a series of breaks. however, it all worked out in the end, and the two married after graduation from hogwarts.due to her blood malediction, dora was told that she could never bare any children. surprisingly on her and florian's honeymoon night, their eldest children, daphne and cyrus were conceived. dora always feared that daphne would end up like her-cursed with the blood malediction.fortunately for the baby girl, on september 9th of 1980, daphne was born healthy and beautiful, just like her mother. however, cyrus was not as lucky for he was born a stillborn.this pregnancy and birth took a large toll on dora's health, leaving her on bed rest for many, many months. two years later, however, with the help of a fertility specialist, astoria was conceived. dora's pregnancy and birth with astoria was smoother than daphne's. it was truly a miracle. alas, not all miracles are perfect. astoria was born with the same blood malediction that dora possessed.each year, adorabella became sicker and sicker. in the same year as daphne's third year and astoria's first year of school at hogwarts, adorabella eurydice selwyn passed away from her blood malediction.

THE DOVE : AGE 16-18 , PLOTTING AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST ——— this verse takes place during the later years of dora's hogwarts studies. she is still a minor in this verse, so i would prefer not to fully stay in this verse. this verse is only available upon request and may be referenced in various writings.YOUNG AND FRAIL : AGE 18-21 , AVAILABLE FOR PLOTTING ——— this verse and the following one are my primary verses for dora at the moment. at this point in her life, she just became a wife and a mother and is learning how to live this new life with her worsening health condition.WATCHING THEM GROW : AGE 22-32 , AVAILABLE FOR PLOTTING ——— this is other primary verse, perhaps more secondary than primary. dora is an aurologist, although she tends to stay at home resting while her daughters are at school. this takes place while daphne and astoria are in their childhood and just starting out at hogwarts. dora passes away from her blood curse at the age of 32.THE ALTERNATIVE : AGE 32+ , PLOTTING AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST ——— this is an alternative universe where dora survives her blood curse, but still lives with it day to day. this verse is in heavy development and will vary based on other portrayals of daphne and astoria. if you would like to develop this verse with me, please feel free to reach out!
